Job Description

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, developing and deploying production-ready AI systems.

You’ll work alongside product designers, software engineers and technical leadership to create intelligent capabilities that become central to a new generation of AI-powered business platforms.

From intelligent recommendations and knowledge systems through to autonomous AI agents and predictive analytics, you’ll help shape products that transform the way organisations operate.

This is an opportunity to build commercially focused AI solutions from the ground up rather than maintaining existing machine learning models.

 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As part of our AI engineering team, you’ll contribute to projects including:

  • AI Agents
    Design intelligent agents capable of reasoning, planning and automating complex business workflows.
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
    Develop knowledge systems that combine structured data, documents and external information to deliver accurate, context-aware responses.
  • Recommendation Engines
    Build intelligent scoring, prioritisation and recommendation models using behavioural and performance data.
  • Predictive Analytics
    Develop machine learning models capable of identifying trends, forecasting outcomes and supporting business decision-making.
  • Intelligent Automation
    Create AI-driven workflows that reduce manual effort, improve productivity and enhance customer experiences.
  • Continuous Learning Systems
    Design feedback loops that enable AI capabilities to improve over time through user interaction and operational data.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, build and deploy production AI solutions.
  • Develop scalable machine learning and data pipelines.
  • Integrate large language models into software platforms.
  • Build and optimise Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
  • Evaluate, fine-tune and deploy open-source and commercial AI models.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver customer-facing AI capabilities.
  • Research emerging AI technologies and recommend practical adoption.
  • Optimise AI systems for performance, reliability and cost.
  • Contribute to technical architecture and long-term AI strategy

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll likely have:

  • 4+ years building AI or machine learning solutions.
  • Experience deploying production AI systems.
  • Strong understanding of LLMs and modern AI architectures.
  • Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
  • Knowledge of embeddings, vector search and prompt engineering.
  • Excellent Python development skills.
  • A passion for solving real-world business problems through AI.
